Section 67. Power of Court to commit female offender to an approved rehabilitation centre or an approved home

Where the Court has convicted any female offender of an offence under Part IV, such Court may, in lieu of or in addition to any punishment specified for such offence, order such person to be committed to an approved rehabilitation centre or an approved home for any period not exceeding six months as may be specified in the order, but where any sentence of imprisonment is imposed together with such committal, the period thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed three years.
