PART IV - OFFENCES RELATING TO DECENCY
Section 31. Pregnant or giving birth out of wedlock
(1) Any woman who is pregnant or gives birth without a valid marriage commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding five thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or to whipping not exceeding six strokes or to any combination thereof.
(2) Any man who causes any woman to be pregnant out of wedlock or to give birth without a valid marriage commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to the punishments provided for in subsection (1).
