Section 88. Offence of giving false information

Any person who, in an application for registration under section 84, or in response to any request for information or evidence made by the Registrar of Conversion under that section, wilfully furnishes the Registrar of Conversion with any false or misleading information or evidence shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
