Section 60. Power to record statements and confessions.

Any Syariah Judge other than the Judge hearing the case may record in the presence of two witnesses any statement or confession made to him at any time before the commencement of the trial. Provided that the statement or confession is made voluntarily and the Judge is satisfied of such fact and so states before recording such statement or confession. The Judge shall read such confession in the presence of the aforesaid witnesses.
