Section 85. Limitation of power of guardian appointed by Court.

(1) A guardian of the property of a child appointed by Court shall not without the approval of the Court-

(a) sell, charge, transfer or dispose of the right of any of the moveable or immoveable property of the child; or

(b) lease any land of the child for a period exceeding one year.

(2) Any disposal of the property of the child in contravention of this section may be adjudged as invalid and on adjudication, the Court may make any order which in his opinion is necessary to retrieve the property disposed off back to the child.

(3) The Court shall not make any order under subsection (2) unless it is necessary or beneficial for the welfare of the said child.
