Section 27. Deriding of Pegawai Hal Ehwal Ugama Islam

Any person who fails to comply with, contravenes, object to or derides any Qadhi or Pegawai Ugama Islam Negeri or Penyelia Ugama in the discharge of his duties shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
