Section 202. Interim order of maintenance.
(1) Subject to the provisions of the Islamic Family Law Enactment 1984, on the application of any party entitled to receive maintenance in any cause or matter, if the Court is satisfied that the circumstances require an interim order for maintenance against the person liable in accordance with Hukum Syara' to pay maintenance, the Court may make such order which shall have immediate effect and shall continue until the Court has make a decision on the cause or matter.
(2) If the application mentioned in subsection (1) is for an interim order for maintenance of a child, the Court shall not make such order unless it is satisfied that the father or the person liable in accordance with Hukum Syara' has the capability to pay for the maintenance applied for.
