PART IV - PENALTIES AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SOLEMNIZATION AND REGISTRATION OF MARRIAGES
Section 35. Omission to appear before Registrar within prescribed period.
Any person who, being required by section 31 to appear before a Registrar, fails to do so within the prescribed period commits an offence and shall on conviction be punished with a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or with imprisonment not exceeding one thousand ringgit or with imprisonment not exceeding six months or with both such fine and imprisonment.
