(1) There shall be taken and paid in respect of all causes, matters and proceedings in Court, fees as prescribed by Rules made under section 236:
Provided that in proceedings by or against the Majlis or the Government, the Majlis or the Government shall be exempted from payment of any Court fees.
(2) Court fees shall be paid in cash or by postal order unless the Chief Syariah Judge determines otherwise.
(3) No fee shall be chargeable in respect of any proceedings taken at the instance of the Court.
