Section 20. Refusal to do li’an

A husband who accuses his wife of adultery and he or his wife refused to resort to li’an after being ordered by the Court to do so, then-

(a) he husband shall be punished with

hudud

punishment for committing

qazaf

; or

(b) the wife shall on conviction of offence be punished with

hudud

punishment for committing the offence of adultery.
