Power of Revision

Section 60. Power on revision.

(1) The Syar'iah Appeal Court or the Syar'iah High Court may, in any case where the records of proceedings have been called for by it or which otherwise comes to its knowledge, exercise any of the powers conferred by sections'39, 43, 44, and 45.

(2) No order under this section shall be made to the prejudice of accused unless he has had an opportunity of being heard, either personally or by advocate, in his own defence.

(3) Nothing in this section shall be deemed to authorize the Syar'iah Appeal Court or the Syar'iah High Court to convert a finding of acquittal into one of conviction.
