Section 55. Establishment of Syariah Courts

(1) The Duli Yang Maha Mulia Raja Pemerintah, after consulting the Majlis, may by Notification in the Gazette constitute Syariah Subordinate Courts for the State of Perlis at such places as he considers fit.

(2) The Duli Yang Maha Mulia Raja Pemerintah, after consulting the Majlis, may by Notification in the Gazette constitute a Syariah High Court for the State of Perlis.

(3) The Duli Yang Maha Mulia Raja Pemerintah, after consulting the Chief Syarie Judge, may prescribe a code of ethics which must be observed by all Syaric Judges and Syariah Appeal Court Judges.
