PART IV - INFORMATION TO THE RELIGIOUS ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS AND THEIR POWER TO INVESTIGATE
Section 55. Procedure
(1) When the information aforesaid relates to the commission of a non-seizable offence, such officer shall refer the informant to a Judge of a Syariah Subordinate Court.
(2) No Religious Enforcement Officer shall, in a case other than those mentioned in section 18, exercise any of the special powers in relation to investigations given by this Chapter without the order of the Chief Syariah Prosecutor.
(3 Any Religious Enforcement Officer receiving such order may exercise the powers in respect of the investigation given under this Chapter except the power to arrest without warrant.
