PART III - MARRIAGE AND REGISTRATION
Section 16. Prohibited marriages.
(1) No male person may, because of-
(a) nasab be married to a person listed in the First Schedule;
(b) relationship by marriage be married to a person listed in the Second Schedule;
(c) sesusuan be married to a person listed in the Third Schedule.
(2) No male person shall at the same time have more than one wife if such wives are related to each other by nasab, marriage or sesusuan that the marriage between them would not be valid under Hukum Syarak.
(3) No male person can marry a person who is not a Muslim.
(4) No female person can marry a person who is not a Muslim.
