ENACTMENT NO. 12 OF 1986 ADMINISTRATION OF ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS ENACTMENT 1986
PART II - APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS AND ESTABLISHMENT OF THE MAJLIS
Section 12. Powers of the Majlis.
In addition to any other powers conferred by this Enactment, the Majlis shall have power-
(a) to enter into agreements or contracts, to acquire, purchase, take, hold, and enjoy movabtiloen and immovable peoperty of every description and, subject to the provisions of any written law affecting the same, to transfer, assign, reconvey, surrender, charge, mortgage, demise, reassign, convey, or otherwise dispose of or deal with, any movable or immovable property vested in the Majlis upon such terms as the Majlis thinks fit and are consistent with Hukum Syara';
(b) to enter into or modify agreements or contracts which may be necessary and expedient for carrying out the objects of the Majlis.
