Section 171. Procedure as to offences committed in Court.
When any person within the precinct of a Court misconducts himself in a manner likely to interrupt the proceedings of the Court or insults the Court, the Court may cause the offender to be detained in custody and at any time before the rising of the Court on the same day may, if it thinks fit, take cognisance of the offence and sentence the offender
to a fine not exceeding two hundred ringgit and if he fails to pay the fine, commit him to prison for a term which may extend to two months.
