PART IX - PENALTIES
Section 109. Polygamy without approval of Court.
(1) A male person who marries at any place whether within or outside Malaysia during the subsistence of his present marriage without the written approval of Court of Kadi is guilty of an offence under this Enactment and may on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit.
(2) The Court may in addition to the fine above order the offender to pay compensation or other payment due by the offender to his wife or wives.
