Section 99. When witness required to take the oath

If the situation demands or the process of conducting an examination on a witness cannot be carried out and the defendant or an accused makes an application requesting the Syariah Judge to order a witness to take the oath as a witness of truth because of a need to strengthen his evidence, the Syariah Judge shall order that witness to take the oath and the Judge shall remind such witness that if he does not take the oath his evidence is inadmissible.
