Section 97. Intentional insult or interruption to a public servant sitting in any stage of a judicial proceeding.

Any person who intentionally offers any insult or causes any interruption to any public servant, while such public servant is sitting in any stage of a judicial proceeding, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
