PART II - OFFENCES
Section 38. Contempt of the authority of the Ruler and other religious authorities.
Whoever treats with contempt the authority of the Rules as Head of the Religion of Islam in the State, or the authority of the Majlis or the Religion Department or any committee or member or Officer thereof or any pegawai masjid, or the authority of any Court or the presiding officer thereof shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.
