Any person who wilfully commits in a public place any act or behaves in an indecent manner which is contrary to Hukum Syarak is guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.

Explanation 1 - Any male person who in any place found being intimate with any female person other than his spouse commits an offence under this section.

Explanation 2 - Any female person who in any place found being intimate with any male person other than her spouse commits an offence under this section.
