Any male person who has attained the age of baligh and who fails to perform the Friday prayers in the mosque within his kariah for three consecutive weeks without uzur syarie and without any reasonable ground shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
