Section 96. Majlis to be sole trustee of mosques and surau and related land.

(1) Notwithstanding any provision to the contrary in any written instrument, the Majlis shall be the sole trustee of all mosques and surau in the State of Selangor.

(2) Every mosque and surau, together with the land on which it stands and any land which is appurtenant to and used for the purposes of the mosque and surau, including State land or land reserved for a public purpose, shall, upon registration under the written law relating to land, and without any conveyance, assignment or transfer, vest in the Majlis for the purposes of this Enactment.
