PART III - THE APPOINTMENT OF THE MUFTI, AUTHORITY IN RELIGIOUS MATTERS, THE FATWA COMMITTEE AND FATWA RELATING TO MATTERS OF NATIONAL INTEREST
Section 45. Functions of the Mufti.
The Mufti shall aid and advise the Yang di-Pertuan Agong in respect of all matters of Hukum Syarak, and in all such matters shall be the chief authority in the State of Penang after the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, except where otherwise provided in this Enactment.
