Section 91. Giving false information respecting an offence committed.

Any person who knowing or having reason to believe that an offence has been committed, gives any information respecting that offence which he knows or believes to be false, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.
