(1) Any Muslim who converts any person to the Muslim religion shall forthwith report such conversion to the Registrar of Saudara Baru.

(2) Any person who wilfully neglects of fails to do so shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to both.
