PART II - OFFENCES
Section 39. Contempt of Religion of Islam or Fatwa.
Whoever, whether orally or in writing or by any act or in any manner whatsoever, treats with contempt the religion of Islam or any fatwa which is lawfully issued under the Administration of Muslim Law Enactment, 1963, shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.
