(1) Any person who during the fasting hours of the month of Ramadhan, sells or gives to a Muslim any food or drinks to be consumed or taken immediately shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or both and for a second or subsequent offence to a fine not exceeding two thousand ringgit to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.

(2) Any person found consuming any food or drink or smokes any tobacco or likewise during the fasting hours in the month of Ramadhan shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months and for a second or subsequent offence, to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
