PART IV - GENERAL PROCEDURE
Section 25. Summons to give evidence or produce documents.
(1) Subjectto the provision of any written law, the Court may issue a summons to any person to give evidence or to produce any document in his possession or under his authority. Every such summons shall be served personally and any person so served, whether a Muslim or not, shall be bound to comply therewith.
(2) Every such summons shall specify the subject matter or documents if any, which are required to be produced by the witness.
(3) The Court may, before issuing such summons, order the payment of a reasonable travelling and subsistence allowances to any witness.
