ENACTMENT NO. 3 OF 1982 ADMINISTRATION OF THE SYARIAH COURT ENACTMENT 1982
Section 24A. Compounding of offences.
(1) The Qadhi or any officer specially authorised by the Qadhi may in his discretion compound any offence, under sections 103, 104 and 105 of the Islamic Family Law Enactment 1983 and section 5 or 6 of the Syariah Criminal Code 1985 by imposing a payment on the person reasonably suspected of having committed the same a sum of money not exceeding fifty ringgit.
(2) Ruler in Council may make rules to collect the compound fees and the forms to be used for that purpose and may from time to time by notification in the Gazette add or delete any of the offence under subsection (1).
