Section 153. False report to Registrar.
Whoever gives to the Registrar either orally or in writing any information or declaration which is false about a marriage, divorce or rujuk or any matter required to be recorded or registered by the Registrar in accordance with the provisions of this Enactment shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two months or to both.
