PART III - SYARIAH COURTS



Section 60. Reciprocal arrangements with other states.


(1) Where a Syariah Court or its judges issue a summons under the provisions of any law in force in any of the states specified in the Second Schedule calling any person to appear before any Syariah Courts in that state and such person is or is believed to be in the State of Pahang, a Judge of the Syariah Courts in the State of Pahang may endorsed the summons with his signature and the summons may be served on such person as if it were a summons issued by any Syariah Court in the State of Pahang under the provisions of this Enactment.

(2) Where a Syariah Court or its judges in the State of Pahang issue a summons calling any person to appear in such Syariah Court and such person is or is believed to be in any of the states specified in the Second Schedule and such summons is served on such person according to the provisions of any law in force in that state, the summons shall for the purposes of this Enactment be deemed to have been duly served as if the service has been effected in the State of Pahang.

(3) The State Authority may by order published in the Gazette add to, delete from or amend the Second Schedule.
