PART III - PARTIES



Section 19. Minor plaintiff attaining majority.


(1) A minor plaintiff shall, on attaining majority during the pendency of the proceedings, either withdraw the same before taking any step therein or adopt the same.

(2) No leave to withdraw shall be required, but the provisions of Part XIV shall apply as regards to subsequent proceedings.

(3) If the plaintiff withdraws as aforesaid, he shall not be personally liable for costs, unless the Court shall order.

(4) If there are more plaintiffs than one, the former minor plaintiff shall not be entitled to withdraw without leave, but may apply to the Court to dismiss him from the action and the Court may do so, or if he is a necessary party, may strike him out as plaintiff and add him as defendant, on such terms as the Court may fix.

(5) If the proceedings is continued the plaintiff shall apply to amend the title of the proceedings and the Court may amend the title and release the guardian.
