Section 13. Secretary
(1) The Mufti may appoint an officer from the Department to be Secretary.
(2) Subject to such directions as may be given to him by the Chairman, the Secretary shall have charge of all correspondence and
documents of the Fatwa Committee and shall in all other respects carry out such duties as may be imposed upon him by this Enactment or assigned to him by the Chairman.
(3) The Secretary shall be entitled to attend all meetings of Fatwa Committee and to participate in its deliberations, but shall not be entitled to vote.
