PART XIII - GENERAL

Section 248. Rules.

His royal Highness the Sultan may on the advice of the Majlis and by notification in the Gazette, makke Ruels for carrying out the provisions of this Enactment, and in particular, but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, such Rules may provide for -

(a) the procedure of the Majlis, the form and method of execution of instruments by the Majlis, and the appoinment, termination of appoinment and dismissal of particular officers of the Majlis;

(b) the fees to be paid in resepct of any act or thign done under this Enactment, and the method of collecting and disposing of the same;

(c) the powers and duties of the court of appeal and the practice and procedure in respect of all matters within its jurisdiction other than what ahs already been provided by this Enactment;

(d) the appoinment of Committees of the Majlis and their pwers, duties and procedure;

(e) the practice and procedure of the Courts of the Kadi Besar and of Kadis other than what has already been provided by this Enactment;

(f) the forms, registers, books of account, estimates and other documents to be used in respect of an act or thing done under this Enactment;

(g) collections, expenditure and disposal of any proeprty, investment and funds due to or vested from time to time in the Majlis;

(h) appoinment of banks and bank accounts to be opened and operated by the Majlis;

(i) the conduct of any charitable collection and the disposal of the proceeds thereof;

(j) maintenance of any mosque and burial ground and all matters relating thereto;

(k) appoinment, powers and responsibilities of the committees of mosques;

(l) powers and duties of Registrar of Marriage, Divorce and Rujuk;

(m) Looking-after and the teaching of children converted to the Religion of Islam and method of registration of persons converted to the Religion of Islam;

(n) Registration and maintenance of religious schools and places for the teaching or religion;

(o) method of appoinment of pegawai-pegawai masjid and their powers and responsibilties;

(p) determination and publication of village boundaries;

(q) scholarship grant, alms and financial assistance to mosque;

(r) supervision as to the publication of religion;

(s) in respect of servide of officers;

(t) all matters which, under this Enactemnt may be provided for by rules.
