Section 118. Acknowledging another as mother or father
Where a person acknowledges another as his father or mother, the acknowledgment, if assented to or confirmed by the acknowledged, whether during the lifetime or after the decease of the acknowledger, shall constitute a valid relationship, in so far as the parties themselves are concerned, provided that the ages of the acknowledger and the acknowledged are such that filial relationship is possible between them.
