PART IV - MARRIAGE, DIVORCE AND RUJUK
Section 61. Place of marriage.
(1) Every marriage shall be solemnised in the mukim masjid where the bride-to-be resides:
Provided that a Registrar having jurisdiction in such mukim may, on reasonable grounds, give permission for any such marriage to be solemnised elsewhere.
(2) Every marriage shall be registered and the fees in respect thereof shall be payable in the place where the marriage is solemnised and the Registrar shall issue a Marriage Certificate.
