PART IX - OFFENCES
Section 175. Incitement not to perform religious duty.
(1) Whoever incites, prevents or persuades any Muslim to refrain from attending a mosque or from attending Islamic religious instruction shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
(2) Whoever in any manner incites, prevents or persuades any Muslim to refrain from paying zakat and fitrah shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding two thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.
