PART IX - OFFENCES
Section 151. Unlawful solemnization of marriage.
(1) Whoever solemnizes a marriage or performs the ceremony of marriage between Muslims in contravention of the provisions of Part IV shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to be a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit or to ,imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to both.
(2) Whoever is married in accordance with subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence and shall on Conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding three hundred ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two months or to both.
