PART III. - THE APPOINTMENT OF THE MUFTI, AUTHORITY IN RELIGIOUS MATTERS AND THE FATWA COMMITTEE
Section 46. Appointment of Mufti and Deputy Mufti.
(1) The Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan, may appoint any fit and proper person to be the Mufti and Deputy Mufti for the State of Terengganu.

(3) Upon the commencement of this section, the person who is the Mufti and Deputy Mufti for the State of Terengganu Immediately before the commencement of this section shall be deemed to have been appointed under this section as a Mufti and Deputy Mufti for the State of Terengganu and shall continue to hold such appointment.
