PART V - MAINTENANCE
Section 97. An offence for failure to comply with an order of judgement.
(1) Any person who has received or has been served with an order or judgment under this Part and who has without reasonable cause failed to comply with such order or judgment commits an offence and shall be liable to be punished in accordance with subsection (2).
(2) Notwithstanding the provisions in this Enactment limiting the criminal jurisdiction or the powers of the Court to impose sentence, and if the order or judgment stipulates payment by monthly instalment, the Court may sentence a person to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one week for each monthly instalment or any part thereof remaining unpaid and in any other case to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month.
