PART IX - PENALTIES
Section 128. Ill-treatment of spouse
(1) Any husband or wife who ill-treats his wife or her husband or cheats his wife or her husband of her or his property, as the case may be, commits an offence and shall be punished with a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or with imprisonment not exceeding six months or to both.
(2) The Court may, in addition order any parties to pay any compensation for such property.
