PART IX - OFFENCES
Section 181. Sale or give away a child.
(1) Whoever sells or gives away his child to a person not professing the Religion of Islam shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding four thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
(2) Such sale or giving away of a child shall be void and the Court shall order that the child be given to the custody of any person as it may appoint. No claim whatsoever shall be made by any party arising out of the order of the Court.
