Section 39. Unauthorized solemnization of marriage
Any person who, not being authorized thereto under this Enactment, solemnizes or purports to solemnize any marriage, commits an offence and shall be punished with a fine not exceeding two thousand ringgit or with imprisonment not exceeding six months or to both.
