PART IX - OFFENCES
Section 135. Friday Prayers.
Any male of the age of fifteen years or ever who fails to attend prayers on Friday at the mosque of his mukim shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine, not exceeding five hundred ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to both:
Provided that it shall not be an offence if his absence can be excused under Hukum Syara’.
