PART V - PUNISHMENT

Rule 41. Reduction of salary.

(1) The Disciplinary Committee may impose a punishment or reduction of salary on an officer or servant in accordance with the following provisions:

(a) the reduction can only be reduced horizontally in the same level;

(b) the reduction of salary shall not exceed more than three salary movements; and

(c) the duration of the punishment imposed shall not be less than twelve months but shall not exceed thirty-six months on anyone occasion.

(2) The date of salary movement of an officer or servant upon whom the punishment of reduction of salary is imposed shall be altered to the date of the next salary movement after the punishment expires.

(3) An officer or servant upon whom the punishment of reduction of salary is imposed is not entitled to receive any salary movement for and during the period in which the punishment is in force.
