Rule 14. Report of serious pecuniary indebtedness. etc. from Courts and Official Assignee.

(1) The Head of Department shall obtain a report from the Registrar or Senior Assistant Registrar of the High Court and the Registrar of the Sessions and Magistrates' Courts in respect of proceedings in their respective courts relating to an officer or servant of the Majlis-
(2) The Head of Department shall seek the assistance of the Official Assignee to carry out a full investigation of the affairs of an officer or servant who is a bankrupt or an insolvent wage earner and to communicate to him a report containing the following matters:
(3) The Head of Department shall forward the reports received under subrule (1) and (2) together with his report on the officer's or servant's work and conduct before and since his serious pecuniary indebtedness to the Disciplinary Committee. On consideration of all the reports the Disciplinary Committee shall decide whether to take disciplinary action against the officer or servant concerned and if so, what action to take.

(4) If the disciplinary action taken under subrule (3) results in a punishment of deferment of salary movement, the Disciplinary Committee may, on the expiry of the said deferment of salary movement, order that an amount equivalent to the restored salary movement be added to the instalments payable to the Official Assignee or to any judgement creditor.

(5) An officer or servant who obtains an annulment of his bankruptcy may be treated as having fully restored his credit.
