Procedure In Cases Where Officer Or Servant Is Absent Without Leave And Cannot Be Traced

Rule 30. Consequences of absence without leave after notification in the Gazette.

(1) Where the officer or servant reports for duty within seven days from the date of publication of the notification in the Gazette, the Head of Department shall report the matter to the Disciplinary Committee and the Disciplinary Committee shall institute disciplinary action in accordance with these rules.

(2) Where the officer or servant fails to report for duty within seven days from the date of publication of the notification in the Gazette, the officer or servant shall be deemed to have been dismissed from the service with effect from the date he was absent without leave.
