PART VI - INTERDICTION AND SUSPENSION
Rule 46. Suspension
(1) The Disciplinary Committee shall suspend an officer or Suspension servant from the exercise of his duties-
(a) where the officer or servant is convicted by any criminal court; or
(b) where an order of detention or restriction as specified in rule 36 is made or imposed on the officer or servant.
(2) The date of suspension under this rule shall commence from the date of conviction or the effective date of the order of detention or restriction, as the case may be.
(3) An officer or servant who is suspended from the exercise of his duties-
(a) shall not be allowed to receive any part of his emoluments which has not been paid during his interdiction under rule 44; and
(b) shall not be allowed to receive any emoluments from the date of his suspension.
(4) A decision to suspend the officer or servant shall be conveyed to him in writing.
