M.P.U. 9/90 ADMINISTRATION OF THE SYARIAH COURT ENACTMENT 1985
Rule 6. Disqualification of Peguam Syarie.
No person shall be fit to be admitted and registered as Peguam Syarie, if he-
(a) has been convicted of a criminal offence in Malaysia or elsewhere involving moral turpitude which would render him unfit to be Peguam Syarie; or
(b) has committed a contempt of any Court duly constituted under the Administration of the Syariah Court Enactment 1985 [Enactment 6/85]; or
(c) has directly or indirectly adduced false evidence in any Court constituted under the Administration of the Syariah Court Enactment 1985 [Enactment 6/85]; or
